Drake heads to Sicily - again, 20 July 2015
John Drake's Mission: Drake is off to Sicily to investigate the mysterious death of a fellow NATO operative.Bury the Dead is a wonderful example of Danger Man at its finest. Ralph Smart's script in this episode is first-rate, with plenty of good dialogue, action, and suspense. The twist at the end is as good as I've seen. Very nice writing. The acting in Bury the Dead is also as good as I've seen. McGoohan was never better. His non-fight scene in the bar is brilliant. I also got a real kick out of seeing Beverly Garland. I've always considered her an underrated actress. Throw in a young Robert Shaw and future Dr. Who Patrick Troughton, and you've got a very strong cast. Overall, this is easily my favorite episode so far. Bury the Dead would make an excellent introduction to anyone unfamiliar with Danger Man. If this one doesn't get you interested in the series, then Danger Man is not for you. I'm giving this one a 9/10.
