Danger Man "The Relaxed Informer" #1.24 (1961) (TV)

Drake goes to a commune, 16 July 2015

John Drake's Mission: Investigate how the voice belonging to a translator working for the British government came to be on a recording found in the position of a foreign spy.

On the whole, I quite enjoyed The Relaxed Informer. There are several plot points that worked for me. For example, I really liked the beginning bit with Drake stealing the care belonging to the foreign operative. It's a nice and different way to begin an episode. I also really enjoyed Moira Redmond as the honest, but confused Ruth Mitchell. And I enjoyed the whole notion of a commune as a hideout for foreign agents. The hypnosis bit may have been a bit unrealistic, but it does work nicely as a plot device in The Relaxed Informer. A solid 7/10 from me.

One more thing, the moment Drake was introduced to Benedict (Stanley Van Beers), he should have immediately suspected something was up. That's one creepy looking guy!

7/10
