"I thought that rock looked pretty suspicious.", 26 August 2015
Scooby and the gang go to the beach for a night of cookouts and dancing, But the fun interrupted by the glowing figure of the ghost of Captain Cutler. Quite naturally, the gang decides to investigate.
Overall, A Clue for Scooby Doo is fun episode that features something of a twist at the end. This is one of the few episodes I can think of where the unmasking of the villain is a real surprise. The episode also features its share of memorable moments - chief among them is the iconic image of the glowing Captain Cutler. Very nice.
I thought I would rate all of these episodes a 7/10, but there's at least one issue I have with A Clue for Scooby Doo that I can't look past. The artwork in this episode is about as bad as I can remember in a Scooby Doo episode. The scenes with the gang in their diving suits are especially poorly done. Eyes, hair, and build all change from one scene to the next. Because these images would most likely not be recycled, I'm guessing the decision was made to cut corners.
