Honey has a package containing a half million dollars that kidnappers want in exchange for Sam's life.

How Brillig, O, Beamish Boy has a very different feel to it than the average Honey West episode. I don't know if director Ida Lupino (who I adore) is responsible, but there is definitely a more serious tone to the proceedings. Cheesecake is replaced with some real drama (well as much drama as you're going to find in Honey West). Solid acting, the always enjoyable fight scenes, and a clever use of Sam's glasses are highlights. 

In this episode's edition of Name That Character Actor, the obvious choice is John McGiver. While I'm more familiar with him in his comedic roles, he's absolutely wonderful playing the heavy. Very menacing.
