Danger Man "The Deputy Coyannis Story" #1.36 (1961) (TV)

Drake goes to work for the IMF, 28 July 2015

John Drake's Mission: Working as an investigator for the IMF, Drake investigates the misappropriation of funds the IMF has poured into a poor Southern European country. The funds were meant to help the peasants, but the money has most likely ended up lining the pockets of someone in power.

After watching the previous episode, The Deputy Coyannis Story is a real letdown. The story is hardly memorable. The fight scene at the end is easily the best moment of the episode. And it's too easy to see where the story is headed. The final twist isn't very surprising. The real highlight is Charles Gray. He's always fun to watch. However, in The Deputy Doyannis Story, I can't help but feel he's miscast playing the Interior Minister in a country where everyone speaks with a Spanish sort of accent. The VERY British Gray doesn't really fit in.

Overall, calling this episode average is being generous. A 5/10 from me.

5/10
