Honey West "Come to Me, My Litigation Baby" #1.23 (1966) (TV)

Honey and the Accident, 9 July 2015

Honey and Sam are hired by an insurance company to prove an accident victim faked his injury and filed a bogus claim.

Come to Me, My Litigation Baby - I love that title. Unfortunately, that's one of the best things I can say about this episode. Going through the Honey West series for the second time, I knew I would reach a point where the episodes get bad - really bad. I think I've reached that point. I know that some of the later episodes are worse, but this is the start and there's very little here I enjoy. The whole plot featuring a gang of crooks practicing fake accidents doesn't work for me. The way it's set up with the old lady, Nellie Peedy, as the athlete/trainer is just silly. It's horrible. And as bad as the plot is, the final dance number only adds insult to injury. Watching Honey dance, I realized one thing - Honey couldn't dance. She was a lot of things, but a dancer wasn't on of them.

As much as I disliked Nellie Peedy, the actress behind the character is this episode's Name That Character Actor. Ellen Corby's long acting career is probably best known for work on The Walton's.
