Honey and the Gorilla, 9 July 2015
Honey and Sam are hired to find man who was kidnapped during a party and flown away in a helicopter. Their only clue is a gypsy medallion.
I wrote in my comments for the previous episode that that episode was where things really started to go bad for the Honey West series. Well, with Slay, Gypsy, Slay the series goes completely off track. I'll give it some credit - the plot starts off very promising. And the theme of a man faking his own kidnapping could have made for a good episode. I don't even mind Honey as the gypsy as much as some people do. It's bad, but acceptable in the world of Honey West. What's not acceptable is the gorilla. Can someone please tell me what gypsies and gorillas have to do with one another? It's a stupid idea made only more stupid by the ridiculous looking gorilla outfit. I've seen man in a gorilla suits that look okay. But this one - did they even try? Fake doesn't begin to describe it. It's just stupid!
For this episode's edition of Name That Character Actor, I'll go with Michael Pate and his 166 acting credits.
